LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT AWARD AND CERTIFICATE
The Level 3 Award and Certificate in Leadership and Management are ideal for individuals who have management responsibilities but no formal training, and are serious about developing their abilities. They particularly support practicing team leaders seeking to move up to the next level of management, and managers who need to lead people though organisational change, budget cuts or other pressures.
The Leadership and Management Award covers the following units:
Understanding Leadership
Developing yourself and others
Completion of an assignment per unit
The Leadership and Management Certificate covers the following units:
Understanding Leadership;
Developing Yourself and Other;
Solving Problems and Making Decisions;
Managing Workplace Projects;
Health and Safety in the Workplace;
Costs and Budgets;
Induction of New Staff; and
Writing for Business
Completion of an assignment per unit
Accreditation and Certification
The courses are accredited by the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM). ILM is the leading education and professional body for managers and is internationally recognised. It is part of the City and Guilds organisation.
No Examinations
One of the benefits of these courses is that there are no written examinations. Instead participants complete assignments related to your practical everyday work.
Tutorial support is provided as part of the course.
Course Duration and Entry
The Award course runs for one evening per week for 5 evenings
The Certificate takes an additional x 9 evenings after the Award.
Entry is open – no prior qualifications are required to enrol.
