Course description
Leadership and Management skills are now more important than ever.
The programme has open entry and enables people to progress from the Level 5 (Ireland) Award to the Level 7/8 Diploma (Ireland) in 2 years part-time on the basis of one evening per week.
The course is ideal for people who want to progress in their careers and want to demonstrate their ability to lead and management at graduate level.
Structure:
The structure of the ILM Leadership and Management programme in terms of time input is:
Level 5 Award (Ireland) In Leadership and Management – this is done over 4 evenings in total – one evening per week;
Level 6 Certificate (Ireland) In Leadership and Management – this is done over an additional 7 evenings after the Level 5 Award; and
Level 7/8 Diploma (Honours Degree Level) in Management – this is done over an additional 26 evenings after the Level 6 Certificate.

Motivating People in the Workplace
Delegating Authority in the Workplace
Developing Individual Mental Toughness
Completion of an assignment per unit.
Diploma Stage:
Developing the executive manager;
Critical thinking and research skills in management;
Leading project implementation;
Leading change in organisations;
Developing excellence in operations; and
Building commitment to corporate vision and values
Participants can gain a separate qualification at each stage – Award, Certificate and Diploma.
The courses are accredited and certified by the Institute of Leadership and Management / City&Guilds.
The courses are practical, and designed to be applied directly to your working environment.
