OVERVIEW – Masters in Sustainable Facilities and Property Management:

The Masers and Postgraduate-Level Diploma in Sustainable Facilities and Property management are for facilities managers who wish to develop their strategic skills in leading sustainable facilities, property and assets.

STRUCTURE OF THE QUALIFICATIONS:

There are 2 qualifications in the programme:
ABSD Awards Level 9 (IRL) Postgraduate-Level Diploma in Sustainable Facilities and Property Management; and
Western State University (WSU) Master in Sustainable Facilities and Property Management.

ABSD AWARDS POSTGRADUATE-LEVEL DIPLOMA IN SUSTAINABLE FACILITIES AND PROPERTY MANAGEMENT

On completion of the following units (by direct completion or exemptions), learners gain the ABSD Awards Postgraduate-Level Diploma in Sustainable Facilities and Property Management:

Leading change in organisations

Developing strategic facilities leadership skills

Organisational management for facilities and property

Strategic energy management

Leading project Implementation

Building commitment to corporate vision and values

WESTERN STATE UNIVERSITY (WSU) MASTER IN SUSTAINABLE FACILITIES AND PROPERTY MANAGEMENT

Holders of the ABSD Awards Postgraduate-Level Diploma in Sustainable Facilities and Property Management may gain the WSU Master in Sustainable Facilities and Property Management on completion of the following additional units:

Strategic information management

Strategic management research skills

Strategic management research project

Financial planning

Strategic management of property and assets

Managing strategic procurement and contracts

ENTRY:

Holders of the ABSD Awards Level 8 (IRL) Advanced Diploma in Sustainable Facilities and Property Management or equivalent may join the programme.

Holders of other qualifications or experience or both in facilities management will be considered on a case-by-case basis so long as the College is satisfied they have the potential to complete the qualification(s).

Duration and Times

The course is delivered online in real time by the tutors.

The programme is an accelerated part-time one with the full Master delivered over 1 year part-time.

Learners also spend additional time reading course content from the Online Support System (OSS).

Total qualification time also includes researching and preparing for the assignments for each unit.

NO EXAMINATIONS:

There are no examinations.

Instead a structured written assignment if prepared for each of 10 units, and a strategic research project covering the 2 research units

Tutorial support is provided through the OSS on these.
