Course description

CAO CODE: TR156 Early Irish can be combined with Biblical and Theological Studies, History, History of art and architecture or Latin in the Two Subject Moderatorship Degree Course (TSM, TR001, Link). The Early Irish course is the same as the Early Component of the single honor course in Early and Modern Irish. The School of Religions and Theology opens up for undergraduate students the opportunity to wrestle with persistent religious and philosophical questions, to engage with contemporary social, political and ethical issues, and to explore the culture and history—ancient, medieval, and modern—of the Middle East, Europe and Ireland. In the course of their studies with us, students gain broad experience of an impressive range of intellectual operations—historical, sociological, literary, linguistic, hermeneutical, philosophical, and theological.
