Software development is a set of activities that results in software products. Software development may include new development, modification, reuse, maintenance, or any other activities that result in software products. These software products are included in everyday products ranging from cars to phones. The methodology adopted is our new ‘learning by doing’ model in first year with continuous assessment replacing final exams.
In this model you become an active participant in the acquisition of knowledge rather than a passive listener, as in the traditional lecture model. There are frequent assessments but no end of year examinations. This type of assessment is normally considered to be less stressful and fairer. It also enables students to easily monitor their progress.
