Entry Requirements
Applicants should meet the following requirements:
• Minimum age of 17 years
• Good standard of English
• Basic computer literacy skills
• Access to a computer and internet connection for online learners
Applicants intending to use previously achieved QQI modules towards certification must provide evidence that these awards were achieved within the previous five years.
Learners should also consider how they intend to complete the required work experience if not currently employed within a suitable setting.
Assessment
Assessment is completed through continuous assessment throughout the programme.

Work Experience

• 20 hours of supervised work experience
• Placement within an appropriate educational or care setting
This practical experience allows learners to apply classroom knowledge in real-world environments while developing valuable professional skills.
Learners are responsible for securing their own placement.
Garda Vetting
Garda Vetting is required before commencing work experience.
Learners who have lived outside Ireland for more than six months will also be required to provide Police Clearance Certification for relevant international addresses.
