Aims:
This programme is designed to equip learners with the advanced knowledge, skills, and competence to work autonomously under supervision in early learning and care (ELC) settings. Participants will be prepared to assess children’s holistic needs, design developmentally appropriate plans, and take on leadership roles while promoting child-centred care for children aged 0–6 years.

Entry Requirements:

• Successful completion of a Level 5 ECCE/ELC programme (Progressive College or equivalent)
• Minimum Ordinary Level Leaving Certificate or equivalent education/experience
• Proficiency in English (IELTS 5.5 or equivalent if English is not the first language)

Continuous Assessment:

Continuous assessment with set deadlines for assignments

150 hours of work placement in two different Early Learning and Care settings:

• Minimum 50 hours with children aged 0–2.8 years
• Minimum 50 hours with children aged 2.8–6 years
• Remaining 50 hours may be split across both age groups (minimum 30 hours in the second service)
