QQI Level 5 Major Award in Healthcare Support (8 QQI Level 5 Component Certificates)

Aims
This course equips learners with the practical skills and theoretical knowledge required to work as Healthcare Assistants in hospitals, nursing homes, day centres, and home care. It also provides progression opportunities within the National Framework of Qualifications.

Entry Requirements
A minimum of Ordinary Level Leaving Certificate standard of education, or equivalent experience/education. Applicants must also have basic computer literacy and proficiency in the English language.

Continuous Assessment
Learners must complete 160 hours of work experience in a suitable healthcare setting such as a hospital, nursing home, or day services centre.
