Aims
This programme is designed to equip learners with the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to care for and educate children from birth to six years old. Learners will provide holistic care and enriching learning experiences across a variety of early learning and care settings, while developing as professionals in the early learning and care community.

Entry Requirements

• Minimum Ordinary Level Leaving Certificate or equivalent education/experience
• Proficiency in English (IELTS 5.5 or equivalent if English is not the first language)
• Strong interest in the provision of quality care and education for children

Continuous Assessment
Continuous assessment with set deadlines for assignments

150 hours of work placement in early learning and care settings:

• Minimum 50 hours with children aged 0–2.8 years
• Minimum 50 hours with children aged 2.8–6 years
• Remaining 50 hours may be split across both age groups (minimum 30 hours in the second service)
