Course Description

Performing Arts is a training programme designed to enable people with disabilities or those out of work due to illness or injury. The course explores the many and varied aspects of arts and media. It combines practical and theoretical approaches to theatre and video. Students work on a project-to-project basis – theatre shows and video shoots – interspersed with workshops and classes. The course can be used as a stepping-stone to third level education or to work in the communications industry.

 

Course Details

Duration Up to 2 years. Modules include Communications, Safety and Health at Work, Work Experience, Media Analysis, Theatre Performance, Theatre Studies, Event Production, Stage Management and Administration, Community Arts Practice, Acting Skills and Techniques, Performance Craft.
