Course Description
David Bowie once sang
“Let’s dance , put on your red shoes and dance the blues”
Are you male or female, aged between 30 and 100 ? Feeling a bit fed up ? Perhaps you feel you could do with a bit of company,a chat and a laugh ? Do you love listening to all types of music and sometimes feel like having a random dance around the kitchen ?
Then this class wants you .
On Monday nights we will get together for an 90 mins very casual and relaxed class .
The class will start with us all sitting and having a chat and checking in with each other for 15 minutes and offloading our worries and stresses .
Then for 45 minutes we will listen to 6~8 songs ( chosen by you ),learn about the songs, listen to the lyrics and then have a little dance to the music. No dance experience needed at all ,( just a love of music and a love of moving the body to music
We will finish with 15 minutes to relax and wind down with a chat and check in with each other .
County , blues , rock , Irish , reggae ,soul, rap ,jazz ,60’s , Waltz, salsa .. everything version will be considered.
Don’t be shy . Come alone or bring a friend ,partner . your dad , mam ,sister , brother ,son, daughter ,neighbour .
We will all make new friends , have a laugh and release those feel good happy hormones
Please remember to bring your own water, a sense of fun and your dancing shoes

Tutor: Mary Molloy
Mary is originally a biology, maths and science teacher who now is an addiction and guidance counsellor in schools .
She has worked abroad and in Ireland and delivers workshops on resilience and happiness .She has studied in the Gaiety school of acting and been involved in musical productions in several societies throughout Ireland .Mary has learned that Communication through a love of music ,chat and a small bit of dancing is a wonderful way of releasing feel good endorphins and increasing our gratitude and wellbeing for life .
She is looking forward to getting the class increasing their Happiness Hormones through a fun class
