Note – people from a facilities or property management background can tailor their coursework to gain the Level 6 (UK) / Level 8 (IRL) Advanced Diploma in Sustainable Facilities and Property Managements.

A Flexible Programme Designed for Working Professionals.

The qualification is delivered over 11 Saturdays – normally one Saturday per month (excluding August) over one year.

This format is designed to make the programme manageable for people who are working and have other commitments.

In addition to the scheduled online sessions, participants will spend time working on their assignments and research project. Ongoing tutorial support is available throughout the programme whenever you need it.

No Examinations

There are no traditional examinations.

Instead, you demonstrate your knowledge and understanding through practical written assignments relating, wherever possible, to your own work, organisation or professional experience.

You will complete:

A practical written assignment for each of the five units; and
A research project
This approach allows you to apply what you are learning to real-world situations.

Live Online Delivery by Experienced Tutors

The course is delivered live online, in real time, by the tutors.

This means you can participate from your home or workplace without the need to travel to a training centre.

You do not need any special software or programme on your computer, laptop or tablet. All you need is a good internet connection.

We try to record all classes, where possible, so that you can view them in your own time. This can be particularly useful if you are unable to attend a particular Saturday.

You therefore have the benefit of live interaction with your tutors, together with the added flexibility of being able to review recorded sessions.

Entry Requirements

Generally, you need to be able to demonstrate your ability and willingness to undertake a qualification at this level.

Ideally, applicants will already hold a qualification such as a Level 7 (IRL) Diploma in Management or a related area – for example, a Diploma in Facilities Management.

However, your existing qualifications and/or professional experience may allow you to gain credit or direct entry to the Advanced Diploma through our recognition of prior learning (RPL) approach.
