The Award in Instructing Studio Cycling Sessions (QCF) is a qualification that has been designed to allow students to develop an understanding of the key concepts of studio cycling, including the principles and safety considerations. You will develop the skills and knowledge required to prepare for, instruct and evaluate a safe and effective studio cycling session.
Entry requirements:
You do not need to have any previous qualification to complete this course
However those that have will have less content to complete
This qualification comprises of two units:
1. Planning a Studio Cycling session
2. Instructing a Studio Cycling session
Assessment:
Students will be expected to plan demonstrate competent teaching in a number of key components of a studio cycling session whilst being observed by the tutor.
Course format:
The tuition will take place over (2 days).
Tuition will include both theory and practical, which will include health and safety, planning a safe and effective studio cycling session, key concepts of studio cycling, visualization, application of the principles of overload and class management and teaching skills.
