Course description

QQI Level 5 Certificate in Fashion Design 5M3865. Fashion Design students can specialise in menswear, womenswear, streetwear or costume with tailoring and dressmaking as further options. Core technical modules in pattern drafting and garment construction provide the learner with the skills required to make their own unique outfits based on their own designs.

Entry Requirements

Leaving Certificate or equivalent, LCA or relevant experience

Interview – Applicants should bring samples of their work to date in order to demonstrate their interest in fashion design. Suggested work includes drawing and artwork, design sketches, scrapbooks, garments made or customised and artefacts

Mature applicants welcome

Applicants may be accepted without meeting formal entry requirements.
