This interactive computer-based-training course covering PC Hardware and Software and it will help you prepare for the interntionally recognised A+ PC service technician qualification
This course is ideal for people who want to learn more about network and servicing, and are interested in a future as an IT technician. Our A+ course is the starting point to a career in IT. CompTIA A+ certified IT workers have demonstrated knowledge of the fundamentals of computer hardware, a wide range of operating systems and the basics of networking. CompTIA A+ technicians work in organizations that have a multitude of hardware and software configurations and corresponding support needs. A+ Certification is a CompTIA-sponsored testing program that certifies the competency of entry-level (6 months' experience) computer service technicians. The certification covers a broad range of hardware and software technologies.
CompTIA A+ Exam
The A+ courseware and exam place an emphasis on areas such as installation, preventative maintenance, networking, security and troubleshooting. CompTIA A+ certified technicians also have excellent customer service and communication skills.
To earn the A+ certification, candidates must pass two exams:
CompTIA A+ Essentials Exam 220-801
CompTIA A+ Practical Application Exam 220-802.
CompTIA A+ Essentials measures the necessary competencies of an entry-level IT professional with a recommended 500 hours of hands-on experience in the lab or field. It tests for the fundamentals of computer technology, networking and security, as well as the communication skills and professionalism now required of all entry-level IT professionals.
CompTIA A+ Practical Application is an extension of the knowledge and skills identified in CompTIA A+ Essentials, with more of a "hands-on" orientation focused on scenarios in which troubleshooting and tools must be applied to resolve problems.
