National College of Art & Design – NCAD
The National College of Art and Design (NCAD) is located on Thomas Street in Dublin’s historic Liberties. Catering to Leaving Certificate students, mature applicants, and career changers, NCAD offers a dynamic, studio-based learning environment. The college provides a comprehensive range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and part-time continuing education programmes. As a recognised college of University College Dublin (UCD), UCD validates and awards the degree programmes at the college. This ensures internationally recognised academic standards alongside rigorous creative practice.
Learning at NCAD is highly practical and project-based. This is supported by a strong tutorial system that guides students through continuous assessment and end-of-year examinations. To accommodate a wide array of creative disciplines, NCAD is structured into four distinct Schools of study:

For adult learners, hobbyists, and professionals seeking to upskill, the Centre for Continuing Education in Art and Design (CEAD) offers a variety of flexible part-time, evening, and short courses. With extensive studio spaces, specialist workshops, and strong industry connections, NCAD equips graduates with the critical and practical skills required to build successful careers in the creative industries.
