Introduction to Nail Styling with BIAB

Course Description:

This course is a powerful foundation for the growth and development of a beginner nail technician. Even if you want to learn BIAB nail application for yourself and not to use the skills professionally, you will find the course interesting and practical.

Exactly 4 meetings will equip you in the necessary nail anatomy, tools, and products knowledge. You will also practice and get all your questions answered.

During the course you will learn how to:

• perform a manicure and safely and correctly prepare the nails for BIAB
• learn about the differences between all types of basecoats and builders in a bottle
• compare hard gels and soft gels
• refill and rebalance the enhancements

Training plan:

Week 1. 4th of November

• Nail anatomy, highlights to the most important information
• Discussion about products, tools and equipment
• What is BIAB and practical check on it’s different types
• natural nail prep demo

Week 2. 11th of November

• natural nail prep practice
• BIAB application demo
• different ways of application
• students practice

Week 3. 18th of November

• BIAB overlay vs extensions
• BIAB and Gelpolish
• demos and more students practice

Week 4. 25th of November

• BIAB and nail art techniques
• variety of BIAB colours and styles for practice

Please Note:

Everyone will receive a certificate of attendance upon completion of the course.

If you would will like to receive an accredited certificate, on the last day of the course, there will be an easy “a,b,c – type” test, 10min about the nail structure theory.

Course Day & Time: Monday evening 7.00 – 9.30pm

Note: Course fee includes Acrylic Nail Kit to the value of €100

The kit includes: Primer 15ml, Nail Cleanser 100ml, Nail Wipes, BIAB gel 15ml, Set of nail files, orange wood stick for cuticles, Top coat 15ml

Course Format: In class with tutor

Duration: 4 weeks – Maximum of 12 students in class

Tutor: Joanna Figasinska

Joanna started doing nails as a hobby around 24 years ago. Back then nail styling was nothing like it is now. No UV polish and limited colours. Joanna always loved nail art and for few years was learning to develop her skills in that direction. She attended nail courses in Poland, UK and Netherlands. Joanna won many nail competitions (national and international). Including Highly Commended (2017, 2019, 2020) best training academy of the year award also first place as the trainer of the year in 2022 at Irish Beauty Awards.

Joanna came to Ireland in May 2007 and registered her company in 2011. From 2013 she is a distributor and accredited nail trainer cooperating with high quality Dutch brand Magnetic Nail Design. She has over 400 graduates including Ireland, UK, Isle of Man, Northern Ireland Poland and Tunisia.

The rapidly changing industry is constantly challenging, and every year she participates in up skill training and watches the trends to have her knowledge and skills up to date.

All Joanna’s courses are very informative, motivating, fun and above all she concentrates on students practice, that they can truly develop their skills.
