Course Description

Course Description:

We spend much of our time in our heads, thinking about the past or planning what’s next. It can feel like we’re always “on”, moving from one thing to another, often without really noticing our lives as they’re happening.

This course is an invitation to step out of that and begin to feel more present in your life.

Rather than trying to stop thoughts, we learn how to relate to them differently and come back to a simpler awareness of what is here.

You’ll be guided through this as a group, with space to reflect and share if you wish. The focus throughout is on gently bringing mindfulness into daily life, not just the time spent in class.

What to expect
The sessions are relaxed and informal, with a mix of guided practice and gentle discussion. Each week includes:

  • a guided mindfulness practice (sitting, lying down, or simple walking)
  • a short introduction to the theme for that week
  • time to reflect or share, if you wish
  • simple ways to bring the practice into daily life

Who is this for?
This course is suitable for anyone who:

  • feels caught up in thinking or stress
  • finds it hard to switch off
  • is curious about mindfulness but doesn’t know where to start
  • would like a calmer, more grounded way of being
  • would like to be more present in their relationships

No experience is needed. You don’t need to be good at meditation or able to clear your mind. The emphasis is on experience rather than getting it “right”.

Practice between sessions

  • Each week includes simple practices to try during the week. These are designed to fit into your everyday routine rather than add extra tasks.
  • Mindfulness isn’t just something we do sitting still; it’s something we begin to bring into everyday moments, like walking to the car, waiting at a red light, standing in a queue, or noticing the impulse to reach for your phone.
  • There’s no pressure to do these perfectly. Mindfulness is something we learn through experience, so the more you engage with these small moments, the more natural the practice will begin to feel.

Tutor: Aga Ziółkowska

Aga is a sound therapist and mindfulness facilitator who works with breath and therapeutic sound to support present-moment awareness and deep rest.

Her own path into this work began after several years at Google, when a period of change led her more deeply into mindfulness, breathwork, and sound.

She holds an Advanced Master Diploma in Sound Therapy and works with both individuals and groups. As a certified Oxygen Advantage (Buteyko method) breath trainer, she brings functional and conscious breathwork into her sessions, offering practical tools that can be applied both in class and carried into everyday life.

Much of her work is rooted in the sensory experience of the natural world, and her sessions reflect this by helping people slow down and settle into the body.

Her approach is also shaped by the teachings of Shane Mulhall, whose work in practical philosophy has influenced how she understands awareness and the present moment.

She creates a calm space where people can step out of constant thinking and allow the body and mind to settle.
