Medical Qigong (MQG)

Course Description

Medical Qigong is a sophisticated specialism of Traditional Chinese Medicine which has only recently become available outside China. It is not the same as Tai Qi (Taijiquan) or Chinese Martical Arts, although it belongs to the same family.
The Irish College oif TCM is priviledged to be able to offer Medical Qigong training in Ireland to Acupuncture practitoners – as a post-graduate option.  Students meet approximately once every two months for a four day module which includes practical and theoretical training based on traditional Taoist and Buddhist Qigong practices.
Medical Qigong, unlike Chinese therapeutic exercises, depends on the practitioner building up strong and clear Qi to enable them to directly influence the Qi of their client.  This takes practice and commitment.
Anyone wishing to be considered for our next Certificate in Medical Qigong programme should note that attendance on the Introductory Weekend in Health promoting Qigong – in July – is required.
