ECDL provides candidates with the skills, knowledge and competencies to use a wide range of software applications on a computer and achieve a worldwide recognised qualification in computing.
The new ECDL programme offers a greater range of modules and provides a practical programme of up-to-date skills and knowledge areas which are validated by a test. There is now a choice of at least 11 ECDL modules instead of the previous 7 and the 3 year limit on completing ECDL has been removed. Once candidates register once they have a skills card for life and they can add additional modules to their skills card over time.
