Course description

EARLY CHILDHOOD CARE AND EDUCATION (5M2009)

This one year programme enables students to become professional, reflective practitioners with an integrated approach in early childhood care and education. Students will acquire skills in the area of children’s play, art and craft, social studies, child development and children with additional needs. A supervised work placement also allows students to link theory to practice and gain valuable experience in different childcare settings.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Leaving Certificate standard or equivalent or relevant work experience in the area of childcare combined with a strong interest in working with children.  Mature students (23+) are welcome to apply. Final selection subject to interview and Garda Vetting
