Entry Requirements
Access to the programme is through the CAO or DIRECT with Dorset College Admissions Office.
CAO applicants must meet the basic matriculation requirements of a minimum of 5, O6/H7 grades, including Mathematics and a Language.
FET applicants must hold a QQI level 5 Major Award.
International applicants, who have not applied for access to this programme through the CAO, must furnish an equivalent qualification that is certified by NARIC Ireland.
For mature applicants (i.e. age 23 and older), applications will be individually assessed in order to determine suitability through Dorset College’s ‘Recognition of Prior Learning’ policy.
Assessment & Award
The Bachelor of Business is a three-year Level 7 qualification awarded by Quality & Qualifications Ireland (QQI).
Assessment Method
A combination of module appropriate assessment methods will facilitate the assessment of learning outcomes on the course including group work, examinations, presentations and business reports.

Protection of Enrolled Learners
Dorset College has arrangements in place to ensure the Protection of Enrolled Learners (PEL) in the event of a cessation of programmes by the college.

Progression
Graduates who gain this award may progress to the one-year Bachelor of Business in International Business at Dorset College or to a similar degree at other higher education providers. The programme will provide a strong base from which to pursue a career and/or further study in accountancy, finance, marketing and general business.
