Course Description

This course will cover the following sections over 8 weeks  (no prior knowledge required):
1. The Cell and Cell Division
2. DNA Structure, Protein Synthesis and mRNA vaccines
3. Genetics and Evolution
4. Basic Botany
5. Classification
6. Ecology and Study of a Rocky Seashore

After the 8 week sessions in the school there will be a field trip to Low Rock beach in Malahide
This introductory course is of special interest to anybody who missed out on studying this wonderful subject in school or Primary School Teachers who may wish to introduce the topic of Ecology to their pupils.

Course Day & Time: Tuesday evenings 7.30 – 9.30

Cost: €100

Course Format: 8 in class sessions with tutor and one Saturday morning field trip. Max of 12 students.

Duration: 8 weeks
