College of Amenity Horticulture

Located at the National Botanic Gardens in Glasnevin, Dublin, the Teagasc College of Amenity Horticulture is a dedicated centre for horticultural education in Ireland. The college provides practical training within a working botanical environment. Catering to school leavers, adult learners, and career changers, the college offers a comprehensive suite of QQI-accredited courses ranging from Level 5 Certificates to Level 6 Advanced Certificates and apprenticeships. Through an established partnership with South East Technological University (SETU), students can also apply via the CAO to pursue Level 7 and Level 8 degree programmes in Horticulture.

The curriculum covers a broad spectrum of horticultural disciplines, including landscape design and construction, nursery stock production, sports turf management, and sustainable food production. Students receive hands-on training, with access to dedicated facilities at both the Botanic Gardens and the nearby Teagasc Ashtown campus.
