Due to phenomenal demand, the Department of Architecture is holding a second ‘Try Architecture’ day for Leaving Certificate and Further Education students on Friday, 20 March 2020. The event will showcase Architecture to prospective students and give you the opportunity to see if one of the courses in the department is for you.
While all three floors of the design studios in the Granary building will be open to explore, there will also be presentations by each course leader, who will offer an overview of their discipline in the Granary lecture theatre on the second floor.
You will meet with lecturers and students to discuss all aspects of the courses and college life, you will view samples of current students’ projects and you will spend time in the design studios.
There is a booking fee of €20 which includes lunch in the Granary restaurant. Limited to 60 students so please book early.

- 10.00-10.15: Welcome by Máire Henry, Head of Department of Architecture
- 10.15 -10.30: Introduction to 1st Year Architecture by Garry Miley
- 10.30-10.45: Introduction to 1st Year ATBIM by Brian Dempsey
- 10.45-13.00: Studio work in 1st Architecture
- 13.30-14.30: Light Lunch
- 14.30-16.45: Studio session in ATBIM 1
- 16.45-17.15: Questions and Answers
