What is Mindfulness?
Mindfulness is the practice of paying attention to the present moment, bringing awareness to the fore without judgement or interpretation. Mindfulness based practices include breathing exercises, guided mediations and stress reducing relaxation.
What will you learn?
This Mindfulness Workshop will be experiential in its delivery. During the day the group will be guided through a sitting meditation, mindful yoga (very gentle and slow-moving), a body scan meditation and a lying down meditation. There will be a short discussion on the science of Mindfulness and how it benefits us. The main focus of the day is to immerse in the practice of Mindfulness. Participants will be asked to journal throughout the day and will be encouraged to participate in a group discussion with the intention of developing further insights into our own motivations and actions.View more events on Findacourse.ie
