Make up artistry courses provide you with the skills, techniques and the confidence you need to succeed in the make-up world.
Make-up artistry courses are held in the Colour and Image Training Academy in O’Connell Street, Limerick.
Foundation Course – certified course
This exciting 2 day course is designed for make-up enthusiasts and teaches good techniques and principles when applying make-up. Because a foundation (pardon the pun) is needed, this course is essential before progressing to the more advanced level. There will be a balance between demonstration and hands on application.
Creative Course – certified course
This intensive 3 day course is designed as a continuation of the Foundation course or for participants with experience in the industry. The course will cover colour theory to techniques and trends for natural to special occasion & bridal make-up before moving on to catwalk, fashion shows and photographic make-up.
The course covers:
- Product awareness
- The tools and the rules
- Face shapes
- Colour correcting, contouring/shading/highlighting/concealing
- Eyebrow shaping
- How to choose and apply Foundations, powders,
blush and lipstick - Application of eye make-up for smoky/cat eye
including eye shape & false lashes
