    The Human Resource Management Practical Skills Online Course from HR Learning Academy equips participants with knowledge and understanding of real-life HR matters. The course focuses on the key fundamentals of HR using theories and practices. You will touch on topics key to the employee lifecycle and the course will equip you with entry level knowledge and understanding of work conducted in a HR Department by HR Professionals. This course discusses real HR matters and scenarios by bringing HR knowledge, legislation and understanding to the forefront for you. You will be brought through topics applicable to HR operations and HR Strategy. Learning in a bite size format whilst practicing genuine examples will help you manage people matters when they arise. The course if suitable for HR Graduates, Junior HR Professionals, People Managers and Small Business Owners who also have to deal with HR people matters every day.

    Who is the course for?

    This course is for people who have recently completed their CIPD, HR Qualification, for Junior HR Professionals, Small Business Owners or People Managers. It’s for those who have a keen interest in a career in HR or simply wish to learn about real life people scenarios and how to handle them. The course provides you with a basic knowledge of HR practices and processes. It will also give you an insight into you’re your obligations under employment law.

    What topics are covered on the course?

    Some of the main topics will be aligned to the employee lifecycle including Probation, Grievance, Disciplinary, Performance Management, Reward and Recognition, Recruitment and Retention. There will also be lots of time for scenario-based discussions.

    Course Format

    This is a one-day online course delivered on a Saturday. The cost of the course is €200 per person and there may be other people on the course with you. One to one training options are also available and we can build the course to suit your learning expectations and training pace. In-person, corporate rates and group courses available on request also.

    Course Trainer

    The trainer of the course is Corina Zambra, a senior HR professional with 15 years experience in small, medium and large organisations. Corina has a BA Honours Degree in Human Resource Management obtained from the National College of Ireland. Having started out as a HR Intern and going on to establish a successful career in HR, she is now working as a Senior HR Manager. Corina realises that starting a HR career can be daunting and challenging and many graduates come into the workplace not knowing or understanding the type of work they will be doing in their first year in HR. Knowing and understanding key basics can really help people stand out and achieve a good starting point when they begin their search for HR jobs and eventually when they join HR teams as HR graduates, administrators, specialists or generalists. She also believes it’s important for people managers to have a basic understanding of HR and employment legislation. Successful managers and leaders know and understand their obligations under employment law.
