This sports science, coaching and fitness course is a full time comprehensive sports course designed to prepare students for a career in the leisure industry or to provide a pathway to further study.The course covers aspects of Sports Science which covers the scientific aspects of sport and exercise on human performance, endurance and capability. It is also an ideal course for those wishing to pursue a career in a professional coaching as it will equip the learner with the knowledge and practical skills to bring out the best in any athlete. The increased public interest in health and fitness has lead to a growing demand for the people with the technical and practical skills necessary to give specialised advice and training to those looking to continually improve their performance. This course aims to encourage students to engage in a broad area of study in both academic and practical areas.

For those that wish to continue their studies to a degree level, can progress onto our BSc (Hons) Sports Science and Physical Education (full and part time options available) subject to achieving minimum of 4 credits across 8 modules; one must be anatomy and physiology. Students may also decide to specialise in a particular area of interest for e.g. our Sports Psychology part time evening course.
