This course includes periods of supervised work experience in the hotel and catering industry in Ireland and abroad. Topics studied include a continental language, marketing, financial, human resource, tourism, and leisure management, and IT. Career Opportunities Course prepares you for a future career as a practicing manager in the hotel and catering industry including supervisory position in areas of food production and catering, beverage and accommodation sales/promotion of Irish hospitality industry. Qualification allows entry into the Irish Hotel and Catering Institute (IHCI) and the Hotel and Catering International Management Association (HCIMA).
