The aim of this programme is to provide you with the professional craft and supervisory skills in bar and beverage service in order to provide a quality and unique customer experience in the Irish tourism industry.
You will learn practical skills in the areas of bar and beverage service, casual dining, culinary skills, mixology and customer communications. You will be able to demonstrate understanding of bar and beverage product knowledge, and be able to assess customer needs and develop selling and merchandising techniques.
The course also covers the application of business principles to bar and beverage service operations in the areas of marketing, merchandising and sales and cost control. You will also learn how to identify and apply appropriate legislation in relation to: equality, employment, environmental best practice, food safety legislation, health and safety, and licensing laws.
