Online Virtual Open Days

Many colleges are offering online information events in the weeks ahead. With the current restrictions third level institutions around the country are hosting virtual open days in an effort to showcase their courses and facilities to second level and mature students.

IT Tralee Online Open Day
IT Tralee’s virtual open days are focused around discipline areas. Each day lecturers and support staff from one of three academic schools or the Admissions and Student Support Services Team will be online to answer your questions and help you choose the college course that’s right for you.

Griffith College
Griffith College will offer an Online Open Evening for interested or prospective students, with hope, in due course to be able to welcome students back on campus for Open Evenings to locations in Dublin, Cork and Limerick.

NUI Galway
NUI Galway will host their first ever virtual Undergraduate Open Day on 7 May. The Open Day, which will run from 12-3pm, will provide an extensive interactive online experience which will allow students, parents and guidance counsellors to connect with NUI Galway staff and students and to explore the full range of undergraduate courses on offer.

Dundalk IT
This online open day will include Q&A sessions where you can ask questions about academic content, fees, how you study and more.

Other colleges, such as UCD and UCC, have introduced dedicated sections on their websites which answer many questions related to future study options and the current situation. UCC has also introduced a one to one video portal discussion.

When it comes to online open days it is a good idea to have a list of questions and topics that you would like information on and check out if pre-registration is required.
