Course description

This course in on Monday evenings 7:30 – 9:30pm, commencing the week of 20th January, 2020 and runs for 10 weeks.

Bread/Baking Class

The class is designed for beginner, improver and confident cooks who wish to learn the art of bread making. The class will start with the initial techniques involved in basic bread-making and then, as the weeks progress, the skill level and knowledge of different breads will increase.


After the 10 weeks of the course, the participants will have a steady knowledge of the bread-making process as well as working with other yeast dough products, that will enable them to carry on baking in the comfort of their own homes.


Learning Outcomes:

~ Basic bread-making skills

~ Continental breads like foccacia, sour dough

~ Enriched doughts like brioche and bun dough

~ Puff pastry technique and its products

~ Danish and croissant making

~ Hot desserts to make for an occasion or family get-together

Registration for our courses is available by going onto our school website and clicking on the ‘Enrol Here’ button on the righthand-side of the screen, by postal registration using the form on the inside cover of our Programme or on our walk-in enrolment night on Monday 20th January 2020, 7:30pm – 9.00pm. Students can meet the course tutors at this session. Complimentary tea/coffee will also be available at this enrolment/open evening.
