SPORTS TAPING AND STRAPPING  Techniques   www.imst.ie

Detailed two day workshop that covers all aspects of sports taping and strapping techniques including theory of taping, contraindications and safety issues, tape types and equipment needed etc. Stretch and non-stretch tape methods will be used on different areas and joints of the body for injury treatment as well as prevention. A brief introduction to Kinesio Tape will also be covered. To include the following:

–         Foot taping to prevent/treat fallen arches
–         Acute ankle sprain support
–         Ankle instability taping
–         Achilles tendon support
–         Jumpers Knee support
–         Vastus medialis re-education
–         Knee collateral ligament support
–         Figure of 8 support for the knee
–         Sacro-iliac joint support
–         Thoracic spine support
–         Shoulder instability
–         Tennis elbow
–         Elbow hyperextension sprains
–         Wrist strains
–         Finger sprains
–         Thumb strains
