Innovation and Collaboration for Growth is a three seminar series that provides insights into what it takes at personal, organisational and sectoral level to deliver on the Our Public Service 2020 goals.
This seminar series is aimed at Senior Public Servants responsible for driving cultural change to work more effectively by enhancing collaboration for innovation in thought and practice by those leading collaborative and innovation initiatives.
The seminar format will vary according to the topic. We will integrate case examples, visiting speakers and input from participants to complement the IPA experience in this area as a way to stimulate fresh thinking and build a cohort of effective practice in the Irish Public Sector.
The first seminar encourages senior leaders to exhibit appropriate behaviours to inspire and instigate effective innovative and collaborative practices. It is therefore critical that they understand how they think about and stimulate collective working as a means to create the conditions for applied creativity.
The second seminar focuses on developing the skillset required for collaborative and innovative working to ensure senior leaders can enable others in the application of new ways of working.
The final seminar will provide an opportunity for senior leaders to consider what models and frameworks can be used to build common purpose towards collective problem solving.
Seminars are scheduled for 11 June, 24 September and 19 November 2019 and will take place from 8:30am – 11:00am on each scheduled date.
Participants can attend any one of the workshops as a stand-alone however it is recommended to attend all three events, where possible, to maximise personal learning and development.
