This production-centred course will be of interest to graduates of any discipline who wish to acquire practical production skills in radio and television broadcasting.
What will I do?
Our MA includes:
studio production techniques;
editorial and scriptwriting skills;
single and multi-camera operation;
microphone and sound recording skills;
radio and television presentation, production and direction;
editing for radio and television.
You will also learn about editorial content for course genres from news to culture and arts, sports to current affairs, entertainment to documentary, chat shows to political analysis. Attendance is four days per week. However, for some weeks, you will be timetabled to attend over the entire week.
What modules will I study?
Course Genres, Radio + Television Studio Techniques, Media in Context, Industry Placement, Major Project (Two documentaries – one for Television and one for Radio).
Application is directly to IADT.
A portfolio submission is required for this course.
