This 16 week ITEC Level 2 Beauty Specialist Diploma Course trains students to become a qualified Beauty Therapist. After that, options are limitless and the Beauty World is your Oyster with Bronwyn Conroy! Whether you want to start your own business, work from home or work in one of Ireland’s top salons, a Bronwyn Conroy Beauty Graduate is always highly sought after and in demand.
All students must work in the College Salon at least once per week, this will commence approx 4 weeks after your start date. Currently, at Bronwyn Conroy International Beauty School, the College Salon is run on Wednesday and Thursday evening 17.30 hrs – 21.00 hrs and weekends for our Saturday Students.
Upon completion of your ITEC exam, the course will run for another 4 weeks to allow you to continue to work in the Salon. This allows students to gain relevant work experience in the safety of the Bronwyn Conroy College Salon environment and ensure that you are fully Salon prepared.
Dermalogica have offered 4 days free training to all students of the School upon completion of their course. This training is free of charge for our students and takes place in their luxurious training facility in Rathmines Dublin. This is an invaluable addition to your new CV as you embark on your new career!

Aim of course
– Upon completion of Bronwyn Conroy part-time Beautician Course, students are fully qualified and competent to work as a Beautician. – To ensure that participation in Bronwyn Conroy “College Salon” allows students to gain confidence, practice and work experience before leaving the College environment – To allow our students to work with the leading skincare brands and make up products including Dermalogica, Environ and Jane Iredale – To empower our students with the belief, confidence and support and guidance to work for themselves
A person with excellent interpersonal skills, in particular, verbal communication, listening skills, empathy, patience, tact, diplomacy and time-keeping. A well-groomed appearance as well as a positive can-do approach. As the leading Private Beauty School in Ireland, an interview is required for all candidates.
All units are mandatory and have final paper and practical exams. Assessment methodology used is MCQ theory examinations, 50 questions on each of the 5 main areas. Total of 5 hours Theory exams and a full practical examination which is approx. 3 hours.

Recognise skin types and disorders and take appropriate action in selecting or advising clients about treatments and aftercare. Perform safe, hygienic, effective treatments to a commercially acceptable standard and timing in the following areas: Skin Care Lash and brow treatments Face, neck and shoulder massage Face masks Make-up techniques Nail treatments Waxing treatments Adapt treatments to suit the individual client’s needs by analysing information gathered at consultation, including contra-indications Select, use and advise clients about skin care products and make-up for the face and products for the hands and feet Understand the basic key ingredients in cosmetic preparations Be prepared for the ” real” salon environment following weeks of practice in our College Salon Gain extra work experience hours at the end of our course by continuing to attend and learn in our College Salon
This course does not end when the exam is complete, it ends when you have a job !
