SCIENCE: THE PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE
Is Nature Left Handed? Does Nature prefer Odd Socks?
Explore the wonders of Science and the visionaries that built the modern world. This course will look at the major discoveries and inventions of Science from Newton to Haber. We will discuss the impact of Science on history, politics, philosophy and economics. The course will look in depth at case studies such as:
“The man who fed millions but fed billions”
“Publish or be Damned”
“Do you want to solve climate change but don’t want to give up your car”
In the course of this course we will conduct simple fun experiments suitable for the home and the classroom. This course is aimed at any one with an interest in science.
We offer this on Monday evenings at a cost of €110 for ten week term.
