MULTIMEDIA / VIDEO PRODUCTION

There are three full FETAC courses available in this department

*  Multimedia Production Level 5
*  TV & Film Production Level 5
*  Advanced Certificate in Multimedia Level 6

Students can choose to study either of the Level 5 Certificates in one or two years (subject to numbers). However if a student wishes to study the Level 6 Certificate in Multimedia, they must complete one of the Level 5 Certificates in the first year, in order to gain entry to the level 6 certificate in the second year. These are mainly practical courses. Therefore students who complete them have substantial and varied portfolios. This also makes them ideal stepping-stones onto third level courses.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS;
(to either Level 5 Courses)
Leaving Cert or equivalent. Mature students welcome. No previous experience with cameras or computers necessary. All equipment provided on course.

(to the Level 6 Course)
FETAC Level 5 Certificate in related area of study or equivalent.

Students are required to study 8 modules altogether, 5 mandatory modules and 3 elective modules.

TV & FILM PRODUCTION, LEVEL 5

   FETAC authentication)

Students who recieve a Level 6 Multimedia Certificate, may gain entry into second year of a four-year degree course in Multimedia, in a number of third level college.
