The course places a strong emphasis on the technical requirements of industry in Ireland; these include: • Computer Aided Drawing & Design; forces and stresses in moving machinery and the properties of metallic and plastic materials. • Design & Control of Mechanisms e.g. Development of pneumatic and hydraulic control circuits and systems, Computer Numerical Control, Programmable Logic Controllers and Robotics. • Electrotechnology & Instrumentation. • Practical skills in the areas of Power Transmission equipment and assemblies, engines, welding and machine shop practice. |
