The Diploma in Journalism and Media explores the role of the media in modern society and focuses on the skills required to research, gather, prepare and present news and information for publication. You will develop your investigative ability which is essential if you wish to be a good reporter. The principles of good editing, design and print production will be explored. The different types of law relevant to media specifically in Ireland and the UK will be examined as well as areas such as defamation. Writing for radio and television is also examined.  This Journalism and Media course is a must for anyone interested in working part-time or full-time in journalism.
