On completing this course the participant will:

- Introduction to health and safety issues and key principles,

- The PDCA cycle, requirements of OHSAS 18001,

- Initial Status Review (ISR), OHSMS scope and  OHandS policy,

- Hazard identification, risk assessment and controls,

- Implementation of an OHSAS 18001-compliant OHSMS framework,

- How to drive efficiency and cut costs with streamlined processes,

- Raise employee awareness of OHS responsibilities,

- How to monitor and constantly improve your health and safety systems,

- Gaining competitive advantage and stakeholder recognition through health and safety commitment,

- Familiarity with the implementation process and its continual improvement,

- Preparation of relevant documentation,

- Planning, reporting safety audits and monitoring performance,

- Usage of OHSAS 18002 and implications of the new  international OHandS standard ISO 45001.

Case studies and interactive individual and group training exercises are used throughout the course to reinforce delegates’ learning.
