The course will emphasise the crucial links between the scientific and clinical disciplines that translate into advances in patient care. Graduates of this course will possess an essential grounding in the structure and function of the human body, mechanisms of disease, the design of novel therapies and a thorough understanding of appropriate experimental design and its implementation, combined with critical analytical skills and knowledge of commercialisation and intellectual property.
Graduates will be ideally qualified to participate in health-related research within academia or industry. Some graduates may proceed to study for other degrees such as medicine or allied health disciplines. A B.Sc. in also an appropriate qualification for entry into a broad range of careers (e.g. teaching, finance). |
