Get the future you want with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Early Childhood Studies from London Metropolitan University in conjunction with Empower Colleges, Kilkenny.

From this September, Empower Colleges are delighted to be introducing this exciting degree programme to seven locations across Ireland. Course locations include Kilkenny, Dublin, Cork, Galway, Tullamore, Donegal and Limerick. This course is ideal for anyone who is working in the childcare industry and wishes to educate and professionally develop themselves further.

This BA (Hons) Early Childhood Studies degree has been specifically designed for those working in childcare. The course is delivered on a part time basis to allow learners to work while they are studying towards their degree qualification. The course will be undertaken through blended learning with taught sessions. Teaching Methods are innovative, flexible and interactive. Assessment is based on coursework, with no formal examinations.

Course duration is 4 Years Part-time with the academic year running from September to June each year. Classes will be held over 12 Saturdays per academic year with additional learning completed at home. This course combines the flexibility of distance learning with the security of taught support. Investment for Year 1 is €2,500 however there are a number of discounts available at the moment for this course (Please contact Empower for more details on this).   Accreditation for the BA (Hons) Early Childhood Studies is from London Metropolitan University who have been successfully running this course since 1992.

For Empower Learners – If you have previously completed a FETAC Level 6 Advanced Supervision in Childcare, Montessori or Train the Trainer Course with Empower you will receive a discount of 10% which is €1,000 off the total cost of the Degree. This is rewarded as €250 per year. This will be deducted from your final payment each year.

Empower Training also offer an extensive range of courses covering many industry sectors. Courses include; Online Marketing Course, Advanced Supervision in Childcare FETAC Level 6 (can also be undertaken via Distance Learning option), Child Psychology Certificate FETAC Level 6, Montessori Teaching Diploma FETAC Level 6, Gerontology FETAC Level 6. All  courses at Empower Colleges are delivered by highly experienced tutors with an in-depth knowledge of delivering FETAC courses.
