Film & Broadcasting with a language is about telling stories - whether fiction or factual. It combines high standards of training in production skills to make programmes - dramas and documentaries for radio, television and cinema, with a solid academic education in media theory and contextual studies.
Students in this programme have the opportunity to study Gaeilge or French to degree level. Not only may they make programmes (dramas or documentaries, visual and for radio) in their language of study, they enjoy access to relevant media and cultural studies. Language study literally opens up new ways of thinking and exposes issues that are not raised in our dominant Anglophone culture. |
