FETAC Coaching Component Certificate Level 6

This FETAC Coaching Component Certificate Level 6 course is designed to provide managers, and others with responsibility for developing workplace competencies, with the skills needed to develop individual performance in others.  It will create an understanding of the organisational and workplace context within which performance and career development takes place and it will provide the skills, knowledge, and tools required to undertake coaching assignments.

Managing a Coaching Programme 

  • Understand how a coaching programme can help achieve organisational goals and support organisational values. 
  • Align individual coaching goals with team and departmental goals. 
  • Negotiate and agree the boundaries of a coaching plan with stakeholders. 
  • Understand the impact of a coaching programme on other areas of the organisation. 
  • Create organisational networks to support a continuing coaching programme. 
  • Evaluate the cost/benefit of coaching vs other learning and development methodologies. 
  • Identify and address organisational barriers to coaching plans.

Assessment

A combination of module appropriate assessment procedures will facilitate the assessment of learning outcomes of this course.  Participants will be expected to complete a Summary Project 60% and Skills demonstration 40%.
