Description

The NEBOSH Environmental Management Diploma will commence Tuesday 7 & Thursday 9 February 2012 from 18.30-21.30 and classes will be held two nights a week (Tuesday & Thursday evening). The programme is 5 months  in duration. Students have the option to study in Dublin 2 (city centre) or via distance learning.

The NEBOSH Environmental Management Diploma is open to newcomers to Environmental studies. It is recommended that applicants complete the Environmental Studies introductory course first which is also offered by CMI. The demand for qualified environmental managers to advise, monitor the waste and output of organisations has increased dramatically. This demand looks set to grow in the coming years as the 'Green agenda' dominates. Many organisations now understand the need to reduce their carbon footprint. Reducing costs and at the same time eliminating potential damage to the environment has become a priority. This Diploma will facilitate individuals charged with environmental management responsibilities to discharge their duties successfully.

This course is designed to develop the skills and qualifications of aspiring health and safety managers and executives. It is course is internationally recognised and the qualification is awarded by NEBOSH, National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (UK).  The NEBOSH Diploma in Environmental Management is set at level 10 under the Scottish SCQF Framework (NQF) and is similar to a Level 8 (Higher diploma /Hons Degree) in Republic of Ireland
