Understanding Digital Media Engineering
Digital Media – also known as ‘new media’ – is another area of electronic engineering that is booming, with the likes of the Internet, digital TV, e-commerce and mobile phone technology, to name a few. It is the industry of the future and refers to new audio, visual and textual information sources, which form the foundations of the new services of our Information Society.
Certainly one of the real excitements of this course is the opportunity to study and follow new technologies as and when they appear. For example, what will be the new iPod? Where will the Internet take us next? What are computer games capable of?
