Diploma in Financial Management
Understanding how organisations, business units and departments manage their finances is obviously of critical importance to a successful career. Many people know that they would benefit from instruction in the accounting principles and processes at the heart of organisational life. The Diploma in Financial Management is a one-year part-time programme that provides that instruction. It seeks to give students confidence in core accounting techniques and in financial management.
Audience
The Diploma will appeal to all those who would like to become competent in accounting and finance.
Delivery and Duration
This programme takes one academic year. It begins in late September and ends with examinations in mid April. It can be taken in three different ways:
- Evening lectures at the IPA in Dublin
- Evening lectures at selected regional centres
- Distance education
Programme Content
The Diploma consists of four subjects
- Financial Accounting - Fundamentals
- Financial Accounting - Reporting
- Cost Accounting
- Financial Management
Accreditation
The Diploma in Financial Management is accredited by the National University of Ireland (NUI).

This programme is assessed through assignments (one assignment for each subject) and final examinations |
