Course Details

This journalism course is designed to provide a thorough training in journalist feature writing. It is also intended that students will submit features in a freelance journalist capacity. The course covers aspects such as: news features, profiles, specialist features (such as film and music reviews) and consumer features. Students receive a course manual, assignments and studyguide, plus tutor support.

Assessment

  • This course is assessed through a collection of work. This will require students to write a news feature article, a profile of a prominent Irish figure or organisation and a feature article on a specialist area / consumer feature.
  • All work submitted must be your own work. There is no exam with this course.
